A brief synopsis before I divulge my main topic:
Me and a couple friends got into Homestuck around the same time and would read it together once a week, eventually another friend would join us near the end of our reading, only a couple weeks ago did we finally finish Homestuck (excluding epilogues and beyond canon, which we are currently working on)
Now these friends of mine all happen to live in the same city which makes me the odd one out as I live in a different state but we are working out plans for me to fly out to them and have a Homestuck themed part upon my visit.
The idea was tossed around that we all should get Homestuck themed tattoos to commemorate the occasion and it was unanimous that we should totally do it.
My friends all have in mind what they want theirs to be but I’m still on the fence about it as this will be my first tattoo and I want it to be special (ironic considering it’s gonna be Homestuck lol)
So I thought it would be a good idea to see if anyone on here could give me ideas for what my tattoo should be, ideally I want it to be something related to Karkat as he’s my favorite troll but I’m not opposed to other idea.

oh that sounds awesome, I obviously have never gotten a tattoo so I can't really give advice but when I can I REALLY want at least one homestuck themed one just because its just been my favorite piece of media ever and it will probably will continue to be for a long time. I hope you come up with a cool idea!! id love an update if you do

I really want to get a Homestuck tattoo as well but I'm nervous too because I've never gotten a tattoo before. I was thinking about getting one of Dave's swords because I love the look of sword tattoos. I also think you can't go wrong with an aspect symbol or just the Homestuck symbol itself. I've been putting off getting one though since I'm in the military and you have to get tattoos approved and I really don't want to have to explain what it means lmao.

I'm in agreement with the folks suggesting a crab tattoo -- probably the best symbol of Karkat besides 69, which has other connotations. A wrist tattoo of his speaker crab watch would be funny but that's kind of excessive... I would recommend getting a tattoo of the little black crab we see on Eridan's beach, page 2066. It looks like Hussie put the MSPA reader face on it, which is fun, and since I imagine you guys have limited time for the group tattoo session it would be nice and simple

hmm if you want a karkat related one, then maybe a design related to the troll romance quadrants or the genesis frog? or the blood aspect symbol? personally i really want a homestuck tattoo and i think mine absolutely has to be dirks sbahj shoulder tattoo lol
