I definitely think its happening lol, i personally want more of the puzzle solving adventure game style gameplay, the varied gameplay in act 2 was awesome but i think Hiveswap's strongest asset is its inspirations and it should delve more into that gameplay style :3 Do i think theyre going to do that? well maybe, but i doubt its going to be anything groundbreaking, one can hope though

My predictions for Act 3... a huge question i come across a lot is who will survive the train crash 👀 I mean, ideally i'd like all of them to survive, but. LOL My theory so far is whoever appeared during the ending cutscene will survive, because that must mean they must be pretty important to be included the final cutscene, right ? 🤔 Not that the survivors are limited to those, but those ones r prob more relevant

I feel like some characters like Diemen and Vikare who really didn't have much dialogue in Act 2 are probs goners. Elwurd, Marvus, most of the jades and teals, basically the characters we interacted with a lot i bet will survive and continue to be relevant. Plus we need the payoff for some of the possible outcomes with Chixie. I personally really really want Cirava and Polypa to see be relevant bc they're my favs :>

For the record I got no doubt Act 3 is coming out, just very slowly bcz they seem to be running on a skeleton team

Act 4 on the other hand is a different question ://

I have full confidence that not only act 3 will come out, but hiveswap in general will get completed. I have less confidence about Hauntswitch but that would be nice. Either way even when we only had one act I felt satisfied as a kickstarter backer. Maybe I'm too easy to please? Put a funny troll on my screen and I clap like a seal

as for actual predictions ppppbbth I don't really have a whole lot. Being real a lot of brain space is dedicated to how to get the Right answer in the trial and how doing (or not doing if u are too nicey as I am) that pans out in the long term. I don't know if it will have a BIG impact persay but I do fret over it and if I will have to go back and redo things

who do yall think dies from the train crash, because there's no way everyone survived a crash of that magnitude

^^^^ everyone in the rustblood car is very very very dead now obviously (except marsti, who's either heavily injured or dead as well) since the explosion had the most impact there/was basically targetting that car, the other deaths are probably because of the crash itself, which could be most of the trolls in lower-mid cars.

a comment earlier in this topic theorized that all the trolls who appeared in the ending scene (marsti, cirava, lanque, tyzias, elwurd, mallek, ardata, marvus & chaehut) ​are going to live, and i really REALLY hope it isnt just limited to those specific trolls because it stelsa dies i will LOSE MY MIND but that theory is sooo cool

but other than me regurgitating information i really really believe act 3 IS coming out since its in active development!! and i dont mind waiting a bit since my interests stick to me for a very very long time

If anything, I think an interesting question is who do y'all think, REALSTICALLY, will survive (aside those who appeared in the final cutscene) BUT not because you *want* them to, but when you think story-wise seems like, "well, it only makes sense they'd still be alive for the story"

I thiiink... there's *gotta* be something with Chixie bc i feel like there must be a reason whether or not she's on the train. 🤔

I feel there will be a rescue mission to save Xefros, in one showcase I think a background of a prison had burgundy blood in the cell? I want to think he was injured in the crash, then arrested, and there will be an awesome prison escape like Henry Stickman 1. I also believe Marvus is alive (since he was too relevant in Act 2)and will choose to help the two in some way. Not sure who else tho (I kinda forgot a lot of names). With Fiamet being a limeblood, I'm not sure she is the limeblood. There's a lot of spectulation that Dammek is a limeblood and is hiding it. I feel she is a protector, someone who doesn't rat out those in the caste which is why she is so friendly to Joey as an alien. The lime could represent her protection of limebloods. I'm most likely wrong though but I think it would be interesting! Along with all that, Xefros has some lore that was hinted at. In Act 2 he hinted that he had killed someone before, not just on the train. We're probably going to get a feelings jam about that sometime in the next two acts. Also hoping Joey and Xefros perform for Jeevik Week!! I could keep going on with theories but I don't want to get too crazy.

We didn't think Act 1 and 2 were gonna happen, and act 1 in particular seems like it had the most tumultuous development. I have no idea what goes on at WhatPumpkin and my gut tells me a lot of it isn't the most healthy by indie developer standards, but I don't have proof of anything, and the contacts we've had this whole time have never implied it was that bad for them. So I don't have a reason to assume Act 3 isn't happening at all, even if it's taken this much longer than 2 did.

Hauntswitch, who knows. My bet is that if it ever happens, it's not gonna be episodic. I'm not sure they can hold us out for a grand total of twenty years.
