When did you get into Homestuck? My favorite character used to be Cronus because I was a soft grunge blogger. Now it's Vriska because she was confirmed as Trans. I am 27 and got into Homestuck when I was in middle school. It's wild I still remember the goth girl who showed me her Gamzee fanart that got me into Homestuck. The best part of Homestuck was the cosplays and fanart that exploded on tumblr every upd8. I'm 27 now and still a fan of this big silly thing
during covid one of my irl friends got me into an online dnd group, one of my friends close internet friends was really into slenderman and homestuck and really wanted our group to read. I was really into webtoons at the time and sort of thought because it was an online comic it would be like that and so i started reading it. and here i am today i suppose !
i got into homestuck in middle school during one of the pauses, my memory is hazy on which one. my friend was cosplaying roxy and wanted me to go as jane.
Got into it when I was looking for more webcomics to read. Someone recommended HS^2, claiming that it "had some interesting ideas." I ended up reading the whole thing using the broken site and a flash emulator. It worked fine. There were only a couple of technical hiccups.
"They've been among my teachers too. Masters of meow."
in 2011, i was in what i'd soon decide was my last year of high school and was an avid brony. for those who don't remember such archaic times: brony fandom and homestuck fandom were kissing with tongue all the time. couldn't keep em off of each other. one of the namefriends from a 4chan alternative i used tried to get me to read it and i didn't. because i'm an asshole. but eventually, a real-life friend of mine got into it, said the word "vriska" to me and i didn't know what "vriska is my waifu" - the first thing i ever knew about homestuck, that my childhood friend was deeply in love with vriska serket - even meant, and figuring out what that meant was what convinced me to finally read it. and now i feel the same way.

First tried to get Into it in 2017 but Could not. Now , I had been Trying to get into Homestuck for the last 3 years because I fell in love with the Art and Writing style, and Most importantly Mom and Roxy Lalonde , But I lacked the Patience to read Tremendous hills of text . So I just started listening to that Let's read on Youtube and Ignoring all the parts I do not Enjoy about it which is sadly More than half of the entire franchise, and I now Love it more than ever. I adore it for the Earlier acts and the Potential it Once had
My boyfriend is Also the reason I got into it Because he has been into it for Almost a decade

My girlfriend at the time sent me "You Can't Stop the Homestuck" without context. I was very confused but intrigued.
I am an artist, but more importantly, a friend.
my highschools library has the first homestuck book and i was really curious so i looked it up and was able to read it on the website before it went to shit
frittata!
[imagine me taking a long drag from a cigarette] The year was 2012, times were simpler, I was a younger man then... a different man... just a naive little kid at his first convention, unaware his life would change forever...
lmao jokes aside i was at my first con when i was like 14 and i was so fascinated by the absolutely massive gathering of homestuck cosplayers across from our equally massive, equally cringe gathering of hetalia cosplayers and my insatiable childhood curiosity led me to catching up on the whole thing in 2 weeks and now im even less normal than i was before that
So this guy my ex and I had a crush on was super into it with his friend who was also kinda cute. I would always hang out with this guy at lunch too. These 2 had all these inside jokes and I didn't understand any of them and when I asked what something meant, crush's friend was just like "you should read it omg" and my guy crush was like "oooh yeah then we could talk about it together." From that moment onward I made it my sole duty to binge Homestuck as fast as I could and caught up to it within a week or two just for him. I really enjoyed it too, so it was the gay motivation plus the AUDHD going hand-in-hand. I got so invested in knowing everything I could about it & reading it that I actually passed the point in the story he was on and spoiled something he hadn't read yet much to the dismay of my RSD. I won't disclose what year or age I was as I don't want to doxx myself via information collection, but Homestuck has stuck with me all these years later. 😂💜

nothingburger post but i honestly cannot remember but i first read it in 2019. i was browsing the hit site knowyourmeme a lot back then so i probably got interested in it back when hs^2 was first starting.
Until next time....
Hated the fans so much i decided "FUCK IT" and decided to read it to see if it was any good, now I'm A massive fucking Loser!
i'm not into homestuck.
how bad can i possibly be?
in 2015 i dated a homestuck fan who would talk about the comic a lot and suggest i read it and i would always be like "oh that's okay, no trolls for me please :)" resisting the peer pressure so good. anyway 10 years later he has a normal life with a partner and a kid and has no involvement in fandom. and i'm here
problem sleuth is transgender
2012/13 some guy at school told me that i should read Homestuck, i immediately forgot
then like 6 months later i saw it mentioned in the comments of hit flash game website Nitrome and then i read it
If two girls were on the moon how long would it take for them to kiss?
august of 2013, i was 8 years old n my older sister showed me the octopimps comic dub of cupcakes
i was immediately hooked.
my friend convinced me to read it earlier this year, i started reading it and was instantly pulled in my the art style and charm it had. now i can never escape. help.

not counting encountering it on the internet with zero context as a child, i happened to be entering middle school around when undertale was big, and learned about it through one of those major fact videos (specifically that toby fox used to be on the hs music team and referenced it a few times in undertale). it then proceeded to stay in my brain like a dormant volcano until i came across the rpg monger's video on its fandom, and decided to give it a read through the voxus dubs.
i'd imagine being in this fandom isn't too far from how rfk jr feels with the worm in his brain. you truly can't fight it, you start reading and it never leaves your mind, no matter how distant you get from it.
who knows maybe i stumbled onto it by chance
couldnt have been in it
