You know, given that Vivziepop is the one making the Homestuck show, I'm surprised no one actually made this thread yet. Anyway, I avoided the Hellaverse shows for a while until some friends showed me Helluva Boss. My first impression was... honestly not that great. A lot of edgy unfunny jokes, but the animation and voice acting were really solid. Eventually, somewhere along the line in season two, I found myself really invested in the characters and the plot, and some of the songs started getting really good. I'd honestly say the latter half of Season Two was pretty good, and I'm actually looking forward to the next season.
As for Hazbin Hotel, I just started watching it recently and, aside from a few unfunny jokes and general roughness in the first three episodes... I actually thought that from Episode 4 onwards it was just great? I was really invested in all the characters and found myself caring about them a lot, all the music was fantastic, and it was rolling along with a really intense plot with basically no filler. I can honestly say I thought the first season of the show was great. I've only watched the first episode of Season Two, and I really loved it, so looking forward to watching more.
I do have some critiques of the shows, mostly of Helluva Boss tho. Hazbin Hotel was a big surprise, it was way better than I ever expected it to be. I should mention, I am a fan of musical theater and stories about heaven and hell so, I am kind of the exact target audience lol
Anyway, anyone else on the forums actually watch these shows? Do you like them? Hate them? Indifferent? I don't know, I'm just kind of obsessed and would like to talk about it a bit :>
