So, I think I started reading Homestuck... Like, a year after HSBC started up again? It took me pretty much an entire school year to chew through it, and I had a good time. And then I finished it, so... I just... Kept going. I remember reading the epilogues in my last week of school, in... whatever class I didn't have leftover work for. And then I got to HSBC and sped through it just in time for Vriska's special hell.
It's impossible for me to ignore the impact HSBC had on me during 2025. My html actually shaped up because I was busting my ass making a shrine for HSBC when I was supposed to be doing schoolwork. Oops. But hey, it's not over! I have an art project, and...! Oh! That's... That's me realizing I need to tone the Homestuck references down. XD
And... Honestly, as time goes on, even as I drift further from my fixation on Homestuck and HSBC, I still think it's a left a mark on my work. It helped me through some rough times and helped me feel hopeful for the future. I got to go to NYCStuck, and it felt like I saw that the fandom could be a kind and welcoming place again. I got to freak out with other people about HSBC and I even got some fanmerch trinkets! I GOT TO MEET OTHER HSBC COSPLAYERS!
So... Yeah. I don't know where else to go with this ramble. But I just wanted to ramble. Sometimes I feel like I only live for stories. Not necessarily because I don't feel like I have anything else, but because I feel so much joy and happiness when I think about them. Even if they're sad, or not the best. A narrative is man's best friend, I suppose. And HSBC, for a time, held that position in my life. In some ways, it still does. That's why I still tune in and at least check it out every month, and reload obsessively every once in a while, and hope for an update, and.... FUCK! I'm rambling again!
I just like Homestuck, and I like Beyond Canon. So if you wanna ramble about HSBC, or FRAF, or life or whatever, I dunno. Maybe this could be a thread for that?
