Some of you may have noticed a little tally next to your username. Posts you make from hereon will aggregate BOONBUCKS. These boonbucks are not currently used for anything, so hey, don't worry too much about collecting them now. Keep posting as you always do.
This is the first step out into what we (really, I) think will be a fun experiment in social storytelling. We're here to have fun, remember?
This leads me into the main event: this Halloween (from today until... let's say 11/11, that's a nice juicy Homestuck day.) the forum is in TRICK-OR-TREAT mode. Every few posts, you may get a pumpkin. Head over to your brand new INVENTORY to get a good look at that pumpkin, and perhaps engage in a little bit of All Hallow's Eve brand integration.
As always: this forum is in beta and is being approached with the same experimental instincts that Homestuck is, inspired by sites that changed how I view how stories can be told, primarily web games like Blaseball, Kingdom of Loathing and Gaia Online. My hope is that this design space is, in fact, fun for you too. Your feedback and thoughts are always welcome.
Some additional notes:
- The post editor should be a bit better at managing stuff like pesterlogs.
- Mods are slightly more empowered to moderate.
- Moderating posts should no longer cause them to be bumped.
