I'll try to keep this easy to follow.
CT is Achilles. Achilles:
-is fire themed
-is incredibly strong, brazen, egotistical, and capable in battle
-IS TRAINED BY A SATYR ON A MOUNTAIN IN HIS YOUTH
-DRESSES AS A WOMAN AND PERFORMS DANCE. ACHILLES DOES DRAG. DIVINE POSTER ON DERSE.
-Achilles and Agamemnon have a bad, bad relationship and argue a lot. Swiss and CT aren't as bad as the former pair, but they do argue in their only solo log.
-Achilles refuses to join the battlefield against Troy after a spat with Agamemnon. CT has been adamant he won’t be playing the game, which is quite literally a battlefield.
-has a male lover who bears a false identity (albeit pretending to be achilles himself, not a new person) (hi delfi)
Swiss is our Agamemnon-- we know that from his haze tag. Agamemnon:
-was born in Sparta, considered in pop culture to be THE Ancient Greek settlement. He was also king of Mycenae, namesake of "Mycenaean". Agamemnon is a very greek Greek, just as Swiss is a very satyr Satyr.
-has a father who was victim to murder (hi advisor!)
-was egotistical and opinionated to not only his own detriment, but that of his cause.
-is often illustrated to resemble zeus, just as swiss resembles dirk.
-sorry to quote wikipedia at you, but this excerpt was VERY swiss to me:
"Although not the equal of Achilles in bravery, Agamemnon was a representative of "kingly authority". As commander-in-chief, he summoned the princes to the council and led the army in battle. His chief fault was his overwhelming haughtiness; an over-exalted opinion of his position that led him to insult [...] Achilles, thereby bringing great disaster upon the Greeks."
We know a lot less about Bobo, so these aspects are more speculation based on their character rather than shared motifs.
Bobo is Odysseus. Odysseus:
-is known for his cunning intellect, something he often uses to misdirect and outright lie.
-is ultimately the one who brings Achilles to Troy. Maybe Bobo will convince CT to join the game?
-Odysseus has at least one Nymph lover in most adaptations of the Odyssey. Hi, Lylac!
-Odysseus is the antithesis to Achilles in ways I see with CT and Bobo. Achilles/CT is wrathful while Odysseus/Bobo is cunning, but there are also things like both of them having relationships with Nymphs (Delfi and Lylac) but in opposite ways. CT doesnt know delfis true identity and is left in the dark, while Bobo knows everything about Lylac. CT seems comfortable in his routine while Bobo wants everything to change.
We have a pantheon of Gods-- rife with incest and interpersonal issues pushing their positions-- interfering with the lives of mortals who will fight in a war to end all wars. We have Nymphs and Satyrs and children of the Gods. We have three "men"-- one a flame of wrath, another a cunning trickster, and the last a haughty authority.
...But, I dont think they're going to be 1:1. In fact, I think a lot of these parallels hinge on how they WANT to be seen. Swiss may act like he's better than others, but we know he worries what they think of him. We know he cares deeply about his boys, helping CT with workouts and collecting honey in their colours. We also know CT is rife with fear and self doubt despite his confident exterior. If his wings are undersized, that leans in to him not being as physically perfect as he projects. Bowie remains shrouded in mystery, but I'm sure he'll follow the pattern of hiding more to him than meets the eye.
Perhaps CT will choose the path of long lived irrelevance instead of glory. Maybe Swiss will secede his authority. Maybe Bowie will fail in their schemes. Who knows?
