All classes struggle with their aspect in some way, this post is meant to detail how! I will give a simple summary and then give examples. I'm willing to listen to other interpetations as well.
I will only be covering 4 classes this post.
PART ONE: https://www.fruityrumpus.com/forums/t/classes-and-their-struggles-with-their-aspect-1
PART TWO: https://www.fruityrumpus.com/forums/t/classes-and-their-struggles-with-their-aspect-2
NOTE - These are the classes I understand the least, I am open to discuss other interpetations.
SLYPH: Slyphs are opionated people, especially when it comes to their aspect. They believe they understand their aspect better than anyone else, and yet they give/use it at the wrong moments. They misuse their aspects despite their intelligence.
-Kanaya after finding out Vriska kissed Tavros, begins to ghost her, giving her SPACE. Though I do not blame Kanaya for being upset, she was meant to be her moirail. And someone like Vriska DEFINATLY needs someone to put her in her place.
-Kanaya kills Eridan by creating space in him.
-Aranea
WITCH: This isn't necessairly an aspect problem, just something all witches suffer from. The minute they act out they get punished, they're not allowed to be angry, sad, or violent. Only happy.
-Jade is considered horrible for getting mad at Jadesprite - meanwhile in HSBC she never gets to live the normal life she wanted
-Jadesprite is considered horrible for being sad
-Feferi immiediatly gets killed for wanting to avenge her matespirit, she's killed for getting mad.
-Damara after being mistreated for so long gets rightfully violent, yet all her teammates lack empathy
PRINCE: Avoids connecting to their aspect and destroy it despite being intertwined with it. They also use their aspect to destroy
-Eridan believes he has to be violent and classist, and so, he acts like a rage player. Avoiding his actual aspect, hope. Yet he does use hope to destroy.
-I don't care about Dirk.
BARD: Originally avoids their aspect and acts like the opposite. But when finally encountering their aspect for the first time, it consumes them, they fully embrace it.
-Gamzee originnaly acted like a hope player, raving about miracles and being generally laid back. But when finally experiencing rage [ex- finding out his religion is FAKE], he becomes a stereotypical rage player. Violent and aggressive.
Once again, I dont understand these classes that well, so correct me if I'm wrong.

:O3

I must admit I don’t think about these classes much either, so I don’t have a lot to say about them. I definitely agree with the idea that sylphs misapply their aspect, and that bards only reject theirs initially and embrace it later. Your prince analysis is also in keeping with my interpretation. However, I believe that princes require a bit of a deeper look, given that it is the most contradictory class.
In my view, Princes, as the most contrary to their aspect a. have difficulty fully connecting to it and b. they destroy their aspect in others when they cannot get it for themselves. They direct their negative self-image outwards, to where they see themselves (their aspect) in other people.
-Hope, I think, is about creative potential and building things up, planning for the future. Eridan’s plans, as a prince, take a destructive tone, but he still (misguidedly) believes he is working for the advancement of his race. By exercising this hope, he destroys the hope of all others as he misguidedly kills the angels in his land, believing without reason that they are evil. An important distinction, in my opinion, is that while he seems at first to act like a rage player, he is acting in a hopeful way from his perspective, and his motivations are geared toward advancement, not tearing anything down as would be seen in a true rage player.
-Dirk has a healthy dose of self-loathing related to his poor emotional life, despite being a heart player. He is aggressive in his relationships, and he destroys the heart (emotions) of all his friends, as his pairing with Jake leaves Jane and Roxy without a suitable partner in their group. In this way he destroys heart, destroys through heart, and is destroyed by heart.
Anyway, I just wanted to add my personal interpretation; your explanations of the classes are great as usual!
This is some straight up delirious biznasty, Dawg!!![]()
