All classes struggle with their aspect in some way, this post is meant to detail how! I will give a simple summary and then give examples. I'm willing to listen to other interpetations as well.
I will only be covering 4 classes this post.
PART ONE: https://www.fruityrumpus.com/forums/t/classes-and-their-struggles-with-their-aspect-1
THEIF: Their ego is their worst enemy, they believe they know what's best for everyone and thus try to take on leaderlike roles, yet this ends up harming everyone.
This isn't an ASPECT problem necessairly, if anything theives get along with their aspect very well, however the fact they go hand-in-hand together so well is the theif's problem because that what causes their ego.
-Vriska priding herself for having 'all the luck' and for priding herself for being related to Mindfang [I'd argue daughterhood is a part of being a light player], yet both of these sources of pride is unhealthy for Vriska
-Meenah as a life player was always going to want to be in charge, as life relates to power.
However you could say the theif, despite getting along with aspect so well, will also blame all their problems on their aspect.
-Vriska claims she has bad luck at the start
-Meenah holds disdain towards the Beforus Empress for being a 'overglorified babysitter'[paraphrasing].
ROGUE: Theif selflessness is their fault, they can't accept their aspect.
-Nepeta, despite her crush being obvious, hides her feelings for Karkat.
-Roxy throws herself at every man she first meets [Dirk, John] because she feels that is her duty as the last girl on Earth, she feels like she can't be alone.
-Rufioh is in a relationship he's grown tired of but doesn't break up with Horuss
SEER: Regret over the decisions they made relating to their aspect.
-Like I said before, I consider daughterhood [or at least ancestory] a part of what it is to being a light player. Rose during the meteor regrets not being closer to her mother and thus becomes an alchoholic in order to 'connect' with her, this decision is of course unhealthy.
-Terezi does the most logical courses of actions, yet regrets it regardless. Killing Vriska? Doomed!Terezi regretted that. Meanwhile current Terezi feels like she hasn't done enough, she's still regretting her actions.
-Kankri probably regrets not starting a relationship with Latula.
MAGE: Biggest stereotype of their aspect, yet lacks it physically. They might also suffer a physical disability stemming from their aspect.
-Sollux is the most doomiest doom player to ever doom but when he faces doom it blinds him instead of killing him fully. He never fully dies. He lacks doom physically.
-Meulin is the heartiest heart player to ever heart yet her lover made her deaf and they ended up breaking up. She lacks heart physically.
I think all your classpect posts are awesome and I think a lot of them are really in depth and well thought over, do you think you might do the master classes? (muse here)
rails b4 pails!!
:O3

@Meowzers Though I do love the cherubs - I don;t think I'll do a master class one. I'm not that well versed with them considering their low player count. But I could try!
I enjoy your takes on classes, and I eagerly await the next one.
1: I like the connection of daughter hood/ancestry to light. Light has a variety of meanings, but I haven’t seen ancestry before, though it makes sense.
2: I appreciate the idea of every class struggling with their aspect, especially the way that mages do. I would only add that the active classes (prince thief page witch knight mage, at least in my opinion) struggle much more openly and conspicuously with their aspect, to the point of breaking it/rebelling against it in many cases while their counterparts eventually embrace or learn to live with their aspect.
3: I know the master classes have a low sample size which makes analysis difficult, but I think they can still be interesting and useful. For me, this comes up when I find a character who doesn’t fit any other class, like Jay Gatsby (the most obvious hero of Hope ever). I realized that his situation and upbringing (often a defining factor of in class)were very similar to Caliborn’s. Thus, Gatsby is a Lord of Hope. The master classes are rare and tend to belong to legendary, larger than life figures like Gatsby, the cherubs, or (obviously) people like great rulers and poets.
This is some straight up delirious biznasty, Dawg!!![]()
@deleriousbiznasty thanks for the support! Dunno if my master class analysis will be that acc but I'll try to make one for em B]
