All classes struggle with their aspect in some way, this post is meant to detail how! I will give a simple summary and then give examples. I'm willing to listen to other interpetations as well.

I will only be covering 4 classes this post.

HEIR: Heirs want to connect to their aspect, but will experience the worst of their aspect
-In the epilogues, John isolates himself and detatches from reality believing nothing is real. Isolation and detatchment is the worst of breath.
-Equius becomes irrelevant, worst of void.
-Mituna suffers a traumatic brain injury and dies, worst of doom.

MAID: Maids are puppetted by their aspect and thus their true selves are hidden.

-Though current Aradia is free, as a ghost/robot she followwed the voices of the dead doing whatever was necessary to avoid a doomed session. But unfortunatly, she wasn't able to express joy. Her true self was hidden.

-Jane was literally puppeted by a life player she literally wasn't herself.

KNIGHT: Aspect is the root of their insecurities, they use it as a facade to defend themself.

-Dave, from my understanding, is a victim of toxic masculinity. He uses a cool *guy* facade to hide his insecurities. Masculinity relates to time.

-Karkat hates himself for his mutant blood and tries to hide it. His leader stiche is also a facade. And being a blood player is being a leader.
-Latula's *cool* girl stiche is a facade to hide her own insecurities. Being a mind player is about being cool and collected.

PAGE: Seems 'weak', other people feel like they have to help the page. Yet this stunts the page's growth and connection with aspect.

-Jake was always stuck in relationship drama. He finally utilised his potential in HSBC after turning on Jane. Becoming independant.

-Vriska's influence on Tavros prevented him from atually becoming strong. On his own, Tavros managed to raise an army. Since leadership sort of relates to breath [blood -> intentional breath -> unintentional] he finally managed to connect with it.

What do you mean by 'Masculinity relates to time'?

I don't strongly associate those concepts.

@MutteredVerbatim

Though you could argue it might be a class thing, all time players struggle with masculinity.

-Dave suffered from toxicmasculinity

-Aradia and Damara are victims of mysoginy

-Calliborn is a mysoginist

On the other hand, space relates to feminity.

-Jade in HSBC desperation to be a mother

-Kanaya's role as a jade blood

-Porrim being considered motherly

-Life itself being associated with feminity

time is certainly a masculine concept. the symbolism and actions associated with it are strongly tied to cultural and mythological ideas of masculinity. it is active, destructive, and it is associated with the most male characters, Dave and Caliborn. LE as a universe destroyer is in the role of the mythological father, a role which he shares with his denizen Yaldabaoth. (The hero/son often takes the father’s place after defeating him as Caliborn gets his power after defeating Yaldabaoth.)

space is extremely feminine. it is creative, passive, and life giving. it is given to only the most strongly female characters, Calliope, Kanaya, and Jade. these characters (and Echidna) are world creators in the role of the mythological mother. (the hero goes to the mother for guidance or protection, which Echidna and Alt Calliope give.)

Additionally, I like your take on Heirs. In my opinion Heirs are the purest representation of their aspect aside from the master classes. Experiencing the totality of the aspect, including the worst of it is something I haven’t seen a lot of discussion about, but I’ve certainly experienced it as an Heir of Mind.

This is some straight up delirious biznasty, Dawg!!

@Deleriousbiznasty Honestly I'm surprise noned else noticed the hair thing; many people just sum up heirs as people who are drawn to and become their aspect yet ignore the negative consequence of it.

Mages are often made out as the suffering class, when all classes do in some way.
