Heya! Some of you may be familiar with my bloodswap/kidswap AUs Transfusion + Fosterquest. I recently got the AU itch again so I decided to dive into the realm of humanstuck, because I have some Very Particular Ideas on how to do so.
I present to you: My Crew.
You may notice that colours seem to be all over the place. Tavros is green? Terezi is red? Eridan is blue?? Here is my official spicy take of the day: if converting kids to trolls results in their text colours being converted to a troll-appropriate colour, then why wouldn't the inverse be true? Thus, each of the human!trolls has one of the original kids' text colours, plus a couple extras I had to pull out of thin air because there weren't enough colours to go around.
I'm not fully settled on names yet because it is extremely hard getting good-sounding names that fit the existing naming conventions, but here's what I've got so far (EXTREMELY SUBJECT TO CHANGE):

Some other fun design/lore tidbits:
- I tried to give each kid a sign that at least roughly matches the design language of their original signs, so that HYPOTHETICALLY if a stranger had to translate these designs back into trolls, their new signs would at least somewhat resemble their originals.
- Karkat's text is black because he stubbornly refuses to change the default Pesterchum text colour. His sign is Death from Problem Sleuth, if you missed it.
- Tavros' sign is the feather from his Boy Skylark hat.
- Sollux's sign is capital pi. His hair was changed the most because I can't stand his original haircut. They didn't even give him two spikes on both ends. Come on.
- Kanaya's sign is an apple because of Twilight. If I were to make this into a full proper story, her shirt would start out as a whole apple but would eventually have that chunk taken out of it at some stage, ala Dave's scratched shirt.
- Gamzee isn't in full juggalo mode 24/7, but that doesn't mean he isn't still down to clown. I'm also thinking of leaning into a class clown angle with him. His shirt icon would alternate between happy and sad depending on the circumstances, like the Trickster's Gambit. (Also, he's the only kid with black pants, just like Dirk... interesting...)
- I replaced Eridan's cape with a sort of open cardigan/jacket situation. It's not quite the same, but I refuse to believe he goes to school wearing a full cape. His shirt icon used to be a top hat from back when he was into magic, but he has since defaced it into a crown.
- I've replaced Feferi's anklets with legwarmers. I thought it was cute. She lives in the White House.
