I think the main problem with the omega kids is that they don't really have a strong "hook." The 3 that were introduced in The Epilogues are somewhat hollow reflections of other characters, which is by design, but it's not that compelling on its own. IMHO Longstocking is probably the most interesting one of the bunch so far, which is ironic since she's only had one line of dialog in all of post cannon. (I don't user her first name on principle, though.)
