Loading reply snippet...I think it's definitely worth mentioning, I keep thinking back to the scenes from Psycholonials as well. I think it was something that resonated heavily with me in many ways, even though the circumstances are quite different. Even though I had no loss to old age, the same things are echoed back to me. Psycholonials was a challenging read to me at times, so too is this post. There's something to be said about the way that parental roles have had the author's influence on them in more works than just the one.

It's difficult to feel that disconnect with someone who's still alive. I think that people who have known it will get it and read more out of this. The way that this piece of writing impacted readers is specifically why I wanted to have a forum space to discuss, and I'm always willing to listen.
