also an aro homestuck and sadly im in the same camp as nebulacarrion. i just never really thought about it. aspec characters don't rlly ever get any attention in media so i just shrugged it off. i get what op meant by the calliope thing by the way and aro jake is honestly So Real.

i've been thinking a lot about the idea of being aspec in troll society, especially since you basically need to partake in the quadrants and pretend to be allo/amato to like. survive. i have a character who explores that idea but that's besides the point. it just feels like a rlly good jumping off point for a discussion of Troll Aromanticism, and they NEVER DO IT. tbh, homestuck was made in the throes of that one time everyone decided to hate aspec people but. you know. i still think it would've been fucking awesome, especially since troll romance is already framed as a satire of amatonormativity. i could probably continue yapping but i feel like other ppl r better at explaining than me. also aspec vriska and aspec tavros is so real
