Honestly for me its just interesting to see a weird twisted version of the story of homestuck where the characters are forced to reckon with how fucked up and traumatic their time in the game was. While a lot of the choices in the story were absurd (jade has a child named yiffany), I think if you give it some thought everyone there is acting in ways that make sense both for their characters, and more importantly, a bunch of teenagers with the responsibility of guiding an entire society without help, which they then have to grow up in. To me at least, it makes sense that a lot of their faults wouldn't be well and truly conquered under those circumstances, and it makes sense that many of them would backslide into flaws they may have overcome in Homestuck proper.
