Mage: One who guides others with knowledge of their aspect. They’re similar to seers, and also have a talent for hearing their exiles exceptionally well. While Seers gain knowledge about the universe using their aspect, Mages gain knowledge about their aspect from things in their universe that are related to their aspect; a simpler way to understand this is "Mages are those whose aspect gifts them knowledge of itself." This means Mages will always have an in depth understanding of how their aspect actually works and avoiding or gaining it. They lose/sacrifice a part of themselves in exchange for lacking their aspect within themselves, which gifts them protection from their aspect.

Time: Self explanatory but also representative of entropy and associated with death and exploitation via time traveling. Loose association to technology.

I've revamped both of the Seer and Mage blurbs again. I feel a lot more comfortable with them now.

Anyway, Mage of Time is a strange class. At first I was worried about finding a way for it to work but I think I came up with something I'm satisfied with. Time is always more suited towards active classes in general but can still work with passive ones, Mage is just up there with the most difficult to understand and specific classes there is.

First and foremost, Mages are experts on their aspect. They gain this expertise through their aspect itself. The biggest issue I'm facing is wondering how a player could be gifted knowledge of time from time. Seers use their aspect to gain knowledge, which would mean a Seer of Time can simply see into the future. A Mage of Time probably shouldn't be able to do that, or at least, not as straightforwardly. Mages can't use their class, they can only guide themselves and their team with knowledge it gives them.

The best idea I can come up with that would fit that concept is a Mage of Time hearing voices or seeing visions at random from the past or future, similar to Sollux hearing voices of the imminently deceased. They wouldn't really have any control over this, visions would come at random. It'd work similarly to seeing the clouds on Skaia, but they wouldn't have to be a Prospit dreamer by any means.

Sacrificing a part of themself is something I've admittedly glossed over in previous Mage requests, and I'll eventually edit those in the main doc I have for these analyses that I posted in another thread. It doesn't seem to actually matter what they sacrifice though. Could be a sense, a limb, or anything else. Lacking time for protection from it though is where it gets strange. I think what would make the most sense though is that they don't age after god tiering, which would keep them from experiencing entropy. They could obviously still be killed though, time only has an association with death because it directly deals with entropy.

If you wanna read my classpect analyses they're all organized in a google doc that i posted a link to in a different topic 👍
