I have more questions and not less about what exactly the nymph metamorphosis entails lol. Cus AA has presumably already undergone her metamorph but still has four eyes, whereas the Caretaker only has two!

I wonder if the Caretaker just having a big squid head, then, is less to do with the metamorphosis and more to do with the way adult humans stop having eyes or mouths sometimes - like an adult nymph becomes a plushified abstraction of themselves instead of a paper cutout or a shadow puppet the way humans and trolls do?
