I agree there's a lot of possibility to do something completely unique but the main thing I think is that it's NOT like scott pilgrim in that homestuck isn't as ubiquitous, the ideas being pitched for that I think are implying Homestuck is CURRENTLY in its heyday which it obviously isn't. I think this series is going to be fairly regular and get people interested in homestuck as a concept first.
