Squiddo I did specify "or someone else on her behalf", because I'm aware hussie making himself the face of a response to the articles could be problematic or risky for a number of reasons. I'm just observing that if there's context/sources hussie has access to, which can't possibly be under NDA if asking gio to rewrite his articles incorporating them was ever an option, then hussie has had years to provide that context to some other more sympathetic writer/journalist/whoever, who could then have created a response to the articles. If you're going to call me stupid you can at least read what i wrote properly first.
And deathclaw, if everyone involved is under an NDA broad enough to prevent them from speaking about their side of the story with any specificity, then they wouldn't be able to provide gio with any meaningful material he could incorporate into a rewrite. The best they could do would be to maybe give gio the scoop on what actually happened after he signed an NDA that prevented him from sharing any of that information. In which case any rewrite or recontextualization would at best amount to gio publicly stating "I have been given information that proves my articles were wrong, but have no ability to elaborate due to NDA". Which is to say it wouldn't be much of a rewrite or recontextualization at all, and hussie and miles presenting anything but full retraction as an option was super misleading.
