I am pretty glad that I read this first. Based on what I skimmed and heard from Gio's article, his tone seemed very dissuading. I am glad you have tried to handle this very odd and frantic situation in a calm and mature way.

Not trying to be patronising or anything, it's just very refreshing when people on the internet are sane. I wish you well in the future, along with the HICU members and anyone else involved.
