see the thing with me and shipping is i will ship everything, im more there for the dynamics or potential dynamics of the characters, and the way their arcs could go if they dated, than the “oh they are so cute and yaoiful and give me many feelings”

actually to be honest i like ships more when it’s the opposite and more like “they need to get away from each other! this is horrible! nooooo!!!” Ships that upset me are tons of fun.

that being said i do really like erikar! i think they are just adorable together. i love how they both can be vulnerable around one another despite being two of the cageist and jerkishest characters in the comic, it shows how both of them have a sensitive side and their shared sense of humor and interest in romantic gossip are both genuinely adorable qualities. I like the doomed aspect of this relationship, too.

With eridan, chances are things will not end pretty in a relationship! I think they would make a cute couple, even though i ship them pale more than anything else and pale erikar is practically canon Lmao.

Also hot take but erisol while fine (i have a few erisol buddies) lowkey its kind of overrated and there’s too much of it. it definitely can work if u have the right approach to it and i get it two guys kinda opposites but similar at the same time hate each other in canon therefore yaoi plus homestuck had a hate love thing anyway which makes it double possible (haha double) but you can also make them love each other in different ways if you want.

Its just their interactions in canon arent very good and i find them equally as plausible possibly even less plausible than erifef. thats fine i actually reely like erifef but this is a yaoi thread and so i cant speak on that one as much. its just weird seeing all this fanart of sollux and eridan as lovers, feels like how in anime youll have two characters who are enimies and the official art puts them in those romantic looking poses.

its gone so far that ill see people convince themselves erisol is canon and the darn ship even appeared in eri’s pesterquest route you seriously cannot escape it ;_;

I have no issues with it besides it not making much sense to me and being so overblown. eridan has so many possible ships including platonic ones but the fandom decided he should be with his worst enemy, which i guess is something he would like anyway.

I also literally write some erisol so I am actually a hypocrite.
