Calamity would be a HUGE shift into what you know about Terraria.
It would be as if you went to a place in the world you've never been to, and ate their special street food. It'd be devastatingly different. You'd be in euphoria and despair, all at once.

What I suggest you should do is try Thorium. It's a new experience but! It doesn't stray away from the average gamers knowledge of Terraria!
And, it's also supported by Calamity Devs so you know it's good.
