Following up on @ttankuki pointing out Ly'lac's Jade parallels (living at the top of a tower, gardening, the presence of nearby ruins?), yeah, we could consider her role as Princess of Space or Time. I imagine Arcane's Jinx as the prototypical Princess of Space, where creativity is leveraged for destruction. It may be a stretch, but Ly'lac is expressing her tastes by making cartoon bombs. "IT'S. ART." A point against this reading (both for Ly'lac & Jinx) might be that Eridan & Dirk possessed "legendary" weapons from the moment they were introduced, establishing combat prowess. We have to see if Ly'lac is working on some Biggest Bomb, her equivalent of Fishbones

From what I have gathered, Princes/Princesses carry a self-loathing "I ruin everything" attitude which, after much self-sabotage, transforms into a persona that declares "Fine, I'll start causing problems on purpose." Both Eridan & Dirk "give up" on trying to be a good person or hero, accepting their fate as antagonists. Of course, we're not nearly there with this teen. Nonetheless, with her already trying & failing to cultivate plants the way a "proper" Space player ought to, she seems primed to lean in. This would also be compatible with my personal theory that Rose(bot) is playing a long game with Dirk. Engineering a huge fuck-up of a Space or Time player—one that shares his class while we're at it—poses a clever way to sabotage his antihero efforts indirectly

I'm also trying not to jump to Doom for Ly'lac as I believe Doom has been set up for Tavvy already. Specifically, Tavvy has been groomed by Gamzee into being a Bard of Doom, after more than one near-death experience involving his nut allergy. In general, really, his life fucking sucks & he is extremely aware of all the ways in which it does. With his allergy cured, though, he's had that Doom destroyed (passively). We even see him kind of exploit his father's paternal Hope by intentionally putting himself in harm's way during 8r8k

It would be sensible if the Deltritan group of kids have the Time & Space players considering they are from the "essential" timeline of Meat & those are the most fundamental aspects. It's their planet that's destined for a game, right?
