Loving the variety in responses thus far!
If you were to ask me growing up my favorites would have been General Tso's Chicken and Egg Drop Soup with Wontons added >:]
Nowadays- I have been partial to Chicken w. Garlic Sauce, Shrimp Lo Mein, or Hot and Spicy Shredded Chicken (my place does it with like bamboo shoots and stuff shredded carrots and stuff, LOVE bamboo shoots).
As for Ram's dish (https://www.fruityrumpus.com/forums/reply/688e4d4204c15097ef8c72a1), I am unsure what that dish would be also, but the description of "no sauce" feels reminiscent of a dish called Chongqing Chicken or 辣子鸡 (la zi ji - meaning pepper chicken). Definitely NOT the dish you were talking about but between that and just some kinda ma la dry pot I don't know what I would call it LOLa plate stacked high with dried red chili peppers and crispy chicken.
