I found Ly'lac's personality endearing. It actually surprised me, she didn't turn out to be who I expected she would be in the first few pages. She's pretty expressive, in a way I find cute. Also, I appreciate the eldritch-y horror-y vibe they have. I can see Rose's influence there, but it's also just something I enjoy generally. Maybe Dirk's species will have something to do with horses or robots? (Joking.)
